The International French School of Vancouver is an independent, secular, co-educational school. It welcomes all children who are willing and able to study in French. Non French-speaking children may apply for admission until the age of 5 (KG).

EFIV aims for excellence at all levels in order to give its students the best possible chance to succeed in their personal and academic life, as well as in their future professional endeavours.

With that aim in mind, the school offers the academic curriculum of the French Ministry of Education, enriched by courses and activities reflecting Canadian history, geography, culture, and civilization.

The Elementary curriculum of EFIV satisfies the requirements for the Group 1 classification of the B.C. Ministry of Education, assessed by the Office of the Inspector of Independent Schools, while its full-day program in Preschool “maternelle” classes meet the provincial child care requirements.
