EFIV provides a stimulating learning environment for its 125 students offering an education in French and English, starting at 3 years old. Our children are at the center of a learning process that encourages critical thinking, active exchange, cooperation and autonomy in order to be able to function in a multicultural society.

Similar to other official French schools in Canada (Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, Quebec City, and Calgary), EFIV is part of the unique worldwide network of 410 schools overseen by the governmental Agency for French Education Overseas (AEFE).

In North America alone, approximately 21,000 students are taught in such schools, recognized for their academic excellence. Students’ parents, of whom the majority carry citizenship other than French and who often are not fluent in French, find these schools an ideal choice for their children because of their stimulating and enriched environment.
