EFIV operates as a non-profit society, incorporated in BC in 1997. All students’ parents are members of the society. There are numerous opportunities for parents to participate in the school’s success, by being elected to the society’s board, or by joining one of the various volunteer committees listed here.

The society’s board includes:

• The Ambassador of France to Canada,
• The Consul-General of France in Vancouver
• The Cultural Attaché of France to Canada, generally represented by the Cultural Attaché in Vancouver.
• The school principal
• The Vice-Principal
• No less than three elected parent members

For the 2008/2009 school year, the board members are:
