EFIV operates as a non-profit society, incorporated in BC in 1997. All students’ parents are members of the society and are therefore actively involved in the management and operation of the school. There are numerous opportunities for parents to participate in the school’s success, by being elected to the society’s board, or by joining one of the various volunteer committees.

In order to promote the involvement of parents in the school, a deposit of CAD $300 per family will be required and reimbursed at the end of the school year if the family has volunteered for 30 hours, distributed throughout the school year, or reimbursed pro-rata if fewer than 30 hours have been volunteered.

Parents are active in various committees, including;

• Fundraising (includes the organisation of the yearly gala evening)
• Year-end Kermesse

Parent participation in these committees is organised by the Parent Coordinator, Mrs Sandra Hughes.
