Introduction
The school follows the rigorous academic program developed by the French Ministry of Education, known for its teaching excellence and broad-based curriculum.
The EFIV curriculum also reflects Canadian linguistic and cultural reality with advanced English programs and courses in Canadian history and geography. EFIV teachers meet the most demanding criteria and are highly qualified in the French education system. They meet provincial teaching requirements as well.
France’s system of learning is divided into five cycles:
| Primary Learning | Fundamental Learning | In-Depth Learning | Middle School | High School |
| 2 Preschool Levels |
Kindergarten Grade 1 & 2 |
Grade 3, 4 & 5 |
Grade 6, 7, 8 & 9 |
Grade 10, 11 & 12 |
The French program divides learning into three critical cycles at the elementary school level. The curriculum and teaching methods are designed to develop the whole child - physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally - and to nurture in each child the intellectual curiosity that is the foundation of lifelong learning.
